Busted vs McFly – A Fun-Filled Monday Night at the 3Arena

Finally, the Monday night in October we’d been waiting months for since snagging presale tickets — Busted Vs McFly!

We’d seen McFly live a few years back (they were brilliant!), but sadly couldn’t use our tickets for Busted at the time because one of us was unwell. So this “VS” show felt like we were making up for lost time — and the excitement was real.

The weather wasn’t going to dampen our spirits as we made our way to the 3Arena. For a change, we had seated tickets, and we were delighted with how close we were — amazing view of the stage, which was set up within the smaller standing area.

From the moment the build-up music started and the “showdown” theme kicked in, the atmosphere was electric. As soon as McFly hit the stage, the whole crowd was on their feet — jumping, shouting, and singing along from start to finish. Not sure why we had seats again… other than to admire that perfect view!

Each band performed their own mini setlist — McFly with their upbeat classics, and Busted bursting onto stage with an electrifying intro.

After their individual sets came the playful “band royal,” with both groups competing against each other. Things even got a little cheeky when Dougie (McFly) and Matt (Busted) exchanged some below-the-belt banter, much to the crowd’s amusement.

Both bands delivered their biggest hits, and the night wrapped up perfectly with “Year 3000.”

You really can’t beat toe-tapping tunes, nostalgic singalongs, and the kind of fun that brings back so many memories. A brilliant Monday night out!
